So with out further adieu, I am going to list my top 100 games. One thing you have to take into account, is that this is my list and it is just my opinion. It was hard to make this list, but even for me it is not a definite. I plan to do some revisions and will try to update accordingly.I also can only add games I have played for a good length of time, there are some that I know will be good like(Pier Solar)but until I play them I can't add them to my list.I will be listing a one game review for each selection and hopefully it won't take me to long to go over the whole list.
I will be going over Seven different categories of ratings game play,graphics, music, replay,nostalgia,story and bonus. Game play is the over all structure of the game and how well it plays, game play is what I would say is not only playability, but also the system of the game and how well everything goes together. Graphics I am only going to judge the art style of the game. I never really cared much for graphics because I always thing of people rushing out to sell there consoles just to see a slightly better picture. While it is nice to look at pretty things my basis of this category will be the art itself. It is just to hard to compare and NES game and a Xbox360 game unless it is just the art style itself. Music is simply how enjoyable the soundtrack or composure is to me. Music is an interesting in games because there are so many that sound good. Replay is how good the game is if you pick it back up to play again. I would say some of the highest rated replay games would be multi player titles, as you can play them with your friends over and over. I will say there are still quite a bit of single player games with replay value as well. The nostalgia category is all about how great the game was looking back. How much fun you had that one night at a friends house,staying up all night playing PlayStation till 6Oclock in the morning. Maybe it was a game you would rent as a kid over and over again, nostalgia is a fond memory. And finally the Story, which to me is one of the most important things in a game. Story can be the difference between an excellent game and just an okay game. Story in my opinion binds an experience together, for better or worse it can make you feel a range of emotions. Bonus is just me giving my own personal bonus points to the game. I came up with this because there were to many games that had the same ranking and I wanted some variety.
This list is something that I have thought about a lot over the years, I always wondered which order I would rank my favorite games. And I love all these games so it seemed like a fun idea. I can't wait to get started on writing in depth reviews for each game. I hope you all can enjoy this list as much as I have been.
